Pearce & Associates is conducting an ONLINE Auction for Alabama Power Company for a license to hunt on land in the State of Alabama.
This auction includes hunting license rights for hunting land in (7) Alabama Counties.

Sale starts ending April 14, 2025 at 1pm with a soft ending.
Bids are in the form of $/acre/year. This auction does not convey any property rights other than those specifically stated in the license agreement to be provided by Alabama Power Company. An example of said license agreement may be viewed here:

Bidders are encouraged to thoroughly review this agreement prior to placing a bid.
Upon expiration of the auction, the winning bidder’s credit card on file will be charged a non-refundable fee of $500. This fee is in addition to the bid amount. The Winning Bidder must also sign a 5-year hunting license with Alabama Power Company and pay the first year’s license fee (equal to the bid amount multiplied times the acreage of the tract), within 48 hours of auction ending to Pearce and Associates
Example: $10/acre bid, on a 150 acre tract ($1,500 first year license fee), equals $1,500 due within 48 hours of sale ending.
Each subsequent year’s license fee will be billed annually by Alabama Power at the appropriate rate as set forth within the license agreement.
In addition to the $500 fee and annual license fee, the winning bidder shall be responsible for a portion of the annual premium for Alabama Power’s comprehensive general liability insurance, per Article 6 of the hunting license. About Pearce & Associates. Pearce & Associates is a private contractor used by Alabama Power Company to sell properties declared as surplus. Over the last 6 years, we have successfully sold 100% of the properties offered up for auction by the Power Company. Those include hundreds of vacant lots, land tracts and commercial offices and warehouses throughout the State of Alabama. This is the first auction by Pearce & Associates for Alabama Power Company to sell the leasing rights to hunting properties in the State of Alabama.

By registering for this online auction, you, the bidder are agreeing to these terms and conditions. Bid retractions or bid withdrawals are not allowed. In order to place a bid, bidders will be required to place a credit card on file with the Auctioneers, Pearce and Associates.

BIDDER’S NOTE: Prior to the auction all prospective bidders should examine the property and all surrounding documents carefully as each bidder is responsible for evaluating the property and shall not rely on the Licensor (Alabama Power) nor the Auctioneers. The Licensor and Auctioneers are assuming that the bidders have inspected the property and are satisfied and accept the licensed property on an “As Is” – “Where Is” basis, with all faults, and without representations or warranties of any kind, expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, representations or warranties as to fitness for any particular purpose, merchantability, design, quality, layout, acreage, physical condition, operation, compliance with specifications, absence of latent defects or existence of encroachments, or compliance with laws and regulations (including, without limitation, those relating to health, safety and the environment) or any other matter affecting or related to the assets. By bidding for a property, any Licensee acknowledges that Licensor has not made, does not make, and specifically disclaims all representation and warranties as to the presence or absence of any hazardous condition, substances, water, soil or geology of the property. Licensor recommends that Licensee closely review the maps and information provided in connection with this auction. Further, personal on-site inspection of the property is highly recommended, but must be conducted with Alabama Power’s explicit written permission as noted above. Failure of any bidder to inspect or to be fully informed as to the condition of all or any portion of the property offered will not constitute any grounds for any claim or demand for adjustment or withdrawal of a bid, offer or fee after its opening or tender.

AGENCY DISCLOSURE: Larry “Chip” Pearce Jr. and Damon Folmar have not been an agent for the bidder in this transaction. Larry “Chip” Pearce Jr. and Damon Folmar have been an agent for Alabama Power in this transaction and is to be paid a fee by Alabama Power. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject bids from anyone who does not comply with the terms and conditions of this auction.
This auction has what is called an auto extend feature, meaning the auction will not close until all bidding parties are satisfied. If any bids are placed on any parcel within the last 5 minutes of the auction, the bid on all parcels will extend for 5 minutes. The bidding will extend in 5-minute increments from the time the last bid is placed until there are no more bids and the lots sit idle for 5 minutes. The entire auction will continue to extend as long as bidding takes place on any individual parcel within the auction.
Alabama Power Company reserves the right to cancel the auction or remove any parcel from the auction at any time prior to the advertised auction’s ending date/time.
